The Panumbagan Sand Bar warmly welcomes its visitors since
April 2014. New infrastructure
facilities were established for the comfort and enjoyment of the tourists. There were a total of twenty one (21)
floating cottages, connected by floating bridges made of industrial bamboos, that
were built in style, in three octagonal rings. Each ring is composed of seven
(7) cottages. Said facilities were
established by the Provincial Government of Sorsogon, headed by Honorable
Governor Raul R. Lee, in support to the tourism development of the municipality
of Pilar. The cottages were designed by an interior designer, Architect Melo
Naval of Provincial Tourism Office.

without visiting the Panlatuan Bay. First to taste a freshly harvested “Lato”,
our sea grapes, abundantly found the Panlatuan Bay. And, to take a brief look
at the remnants of Astillero de Panlatuan, the once famous shipbuilding yard
established after the Galleon Trade ended in 1650.
